A Visit From Auburn University

At the beginning of the month we had the joy of hosting an incredible group of college students from Auburn University. From the moment they arrived, they served with joyful hearts and quickly became a great blessing to our community.

Throughout the week, the team shared the Gospel with students in the school and throughout the surrounding neighborhoods. They spent time praying with families, encouraging those in need, and faithfully pointing people to the hope found in Christ.

The team also worked on several practical projects that will have a lasting impact. They helped renovate the home of one of our sweet new tías (house moms), who recently came to faith in Christ. They also spread gravel in front of the church, giving the entrance a beautiful uplift and creating a more welcoming space for gatherings. The students also delivered food to families in need and built beds for members of the community.

One of the most special moments of the week came during our school and community outreach day. A few of the girls dressed up as Disney Princesses, bringing so much joy to the children and families. It was a wonderful way to connect with the community and helped bring many families out to join us for our Wednesday night service.

Perhaps the most powerful testimony of the week came from the team itself. Three of the Auburn students felt deeply moved by what the Lord was doing and reached out about being baptized. On the final evening of the trip, we celebrated as they publicly declared their faith through baptism - a beautiful picture of the work God was doing not only through them, but also in them.

We are so grateful for this team and the way they served with humility, compassion, and love for the Lord. It was truly a week that reflected the glory of God in so many ways.

International Women’s Day Celebration

We had the joy of celebrating International Women’s Day with our staff, honoring the dignity of each woman as an image bearer of God. Through Scripture and meaningful activities, we reflected on our identity and worth in Christ.

Academic Achievements

We’re grateful to share that Darlenys, Daneisy, and Felipe received merit awards from their school. This is an encouraging testimony of their academic growth. Daneisy is advancing in competitions for both Master Chef and a United Nations program she was invited to. This milestone reflects a journey of perseverance, and we thank the Lord, along with Jennifer and our tutor, Yohanny, for their faithful investment in the children

.

English Olympiad Participation

Michael and Jennifer were invited by a local school to be judges for an English competition. They listened to students practice their English skills and graded them based on pronunciation, grammar, and overall understanding of the language. It was an honor to be invited to participate in the local school competition.

Volunteer Visit from Las Terrenas

A group of volunteers from Las Terrenas blessed our children with a fun day of ice cream sundaes, crafts, and generous donations. It was a sweet and joy-filled time for everyone involved.

Canadian Volunteers Visit Us

Harold and Jen, visitors from Canada, spent two weeks serving alongside us. They faithfully took on maintenance and cleaning projects and even introduced the kids and staff to poutine - which was a big hit!

Strengthening Local Church Partnerships

Gabe continues to build meaningful partnerships with local churches and pastors by helping deliver resources to families in need. Through one recent visit, by Pastor Gabe and a local pastor, a woman rededicated her life to the Lord! These relationships have also opened doors for identifying and bringing in new staff who are strong believers, which has been a great blessing to the ministry.
