The Advocate Collective

From Your Campus to Samaná With Love
A Student Movement of Advocates of Love

What is the Advocate Collective?

VERSE: Matthew 9:37-38

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

The Advocate Collective is a program where student leaders represent Advocates of Love on campus, educate peers about our mission, and drive fundraising campaigns that support impact. You will get experience in leadership, communication, and nonprofit experience you can use on resumes and future applications.

How it Works

The Advocates of Love Campus Ambassador Program runs throughout the school year, and gives students a clear way to support the organization through fundraising and awareness-building. Ambassadors are selected through an application process, onboarded with program training, and then given the tools they need to start promoting the mission and raising funds.

Ambassadors are expected to complete a set number of activities each month, such as posting campaign content, inviting donors, helping run campus events, or partnering with student groups.

At the end of the program term, the top fundraisers who have also fulfilled their ambassador responsibilities are selected for the Advocates of Love trip. This trip should be presented as an earned opportunity to experience the mission firsthand, deepen their connection to the cause, and celebrate the impact they helped create.

Each ambassador receives a unique fundraising page or donation link so their impact can be tracked individually. Throughout the program, students share Advocates of Love with classmates, friends, family, clubs, and their wider social networks through personal outreach, events, and social media.

Fundraising progress is tracked on an ongoing basis, and ambassadors can see how close they are to their goals. To keep momentum high, the program can include monthly check-ins, leaderboards, campaign updates, and recognition for students who are performing well.
